The new expansion plan of Coinbase is in today’s blockchain news after announcing the launch of six additional European markets.
The leading crypto exchanges hope to push the boundaries in the global market. Coinbase will expand its services into to new markets that include Andorra, Gibraltar, Lithuania, Iceland, Guernsey and the Isle of Man.
Coinbase announced their plan on Thursday on their official blog by saying that after expanding to the six new areas, it will officially service 33 countries across the planet.
The major exchange was launched in 2012 and has set the postulates for the entire crypto sector over the past couple of years. This decision only shows that Coinbase is planning on huge things in 2019 while trying to make the process of buying and selling cryptocurrencies much easier.
‘’New customers in these markets will be able to make full use of Coinbase.com and our iOS and Android apps, allowing them to buy and sell cryptocurrencies on the Coinbase platform for the very first time. We also hope to make Coinbase Pro and Prime available in these regions over time.’’
The company will also take other measures to expand rapidly into other regions and even adding new crypto assets on the platform so all the customers will be satisfied.
Just a few days ago, Coinbase also noted that they started offering crypto to crypto conversions for all US customers in order to make the process of converting cryptocurrencies simple.
By expanding across Europe, these conversion features will become a major element of the international market.

New Crypto Wave Will Focus On Stablecoins: Swiss BTC Association Board Member
“I would say payment and utility tokens are more or less over, sometimes they make sense.”Talking about stablecoins, he explained that their decentralized mechanism is what makes sure that they are legally considered to be payment tokens rather than securities:
“Stablecoins are a precondition to enable average companies to bring their equity onto the blockchain, because if they issue bonds or shares they want to do so against U.S. dollars, euros or Swiss francs, because those are the currencies they calculate in, not Bitcoin (BTC) or Ethereum (ETH).”Meisser also pointed out that the banks in Switzerland still don’t attempt to try crypto but local startups do use them as a way to avoid banking difficulties in the country.

"The music entertainment industry has evolved into a complex, competitive, technology-driven environment that suffers from a severe lack of transparency. We want to champion artists and help incentivize the growth of the entire industry through the creation of this open, blockchain-based ecosystem."There are many blockchain entities which are tackling the music industry transparency for several years, with ideas such as blockchain-based streaming service being revealed in 2018.
