The company behind the crypto hardware wallet Trezor, SatoshiLabs, is in our blockchain news today after partnering with another manufacturer and designer company GRAY to work together and deliver what will probably be the most expensive hardware wallet named Corazon.
Corazon will even have a cheaper version named Corazon Titanium for $695 but the Corazon Gold will start selling for $1,494.
GRAY was founded and is based in Singapore and has previously worked on a few Apple devices collections. Corazon Gold will actually cost more than the iPhone XS which goes for $1,449. The most expensive device from Ledger, on the other hand, is $319 and KeppKey’s cost $129.
One of the most important elements of this device is that it is made out of aerospace grade 5 Titanium which is broadly used in Formula 1 and it is stronger at least 2 times than stainless steel but half the weight.
The major difference between the models is the color they come with. Corazon Titanium comes with a basic Titanium shell, the Corazon stealth comes with black physical vapor deposition and Corazon Gold has a gold PVD coating and will be available for only a hundred lucky users.
The reason for the expensive wallets is because of the commemoration of the 10th anniversary of Bitcoin. The CEO of SatoshiLabs Marek Palatinus pointed out:
“Furthermore, we are working on allowing the usage of SD cards with Trezor Model T to protect the encrypted passwords and files of our users. Additionally, security innovations are coming for those who want more – recovery seed splitting for additional safety of funds.’’
Guangdong Province In China To Use Blockchain-Based Tax Payment Platform
“Blockchain technology has established a highly mutual trust data sharing mechanism among tax authorities, invoice service providers, taxpayers and other parties. This is a major reason for the tax authorities to take a new step in deepening the [technological] reform [by] the distribution services.”Back in December 2018, one of the bigger cities in the Guangdong province-Shenzhen announced its success story of how blockchain technology helped with the tax invoices via the messaging app WEChat payment platform. Also, last year in November, the capital of the Guangdong and one of the most developed economic zones in China, Guangzhou, was chosen as a headquarters city for the new blockchain alliance. The alliance involves 54 different companies and is promoting blockchain technology in finances and trading. Countries around the world are opting for blockchain-based tax solutions because of the higher efficiency and transparency.
