The process of recruiting human jurors was set in motion by the Aragon DAO platform as the decentralization court system is prepared by the governance protocol as we are reading further in the latest cryptocurrency news.
The community members will be able to exchange the ANT tokens by the Aragon DAO platform for the newly minted Aragon Network Juror tokens that will be used for staking on the dispute resolution platform. The new activation window will be opened until the launch of the Aragon Court on February 10 which will end up selecting the first class of jurors for the cases brought before the court.
Aragon will provide a new framework and tools needed to create a decentralized autonomous organization that will range from multi-faceted structures that are intended for thousands of users to all the simple ones for just a few people. The system will handle ‘’subjective disputes that require the judgment of human jurors’’ according to the website. Anyone can become a juror if they possess a minimum of 10,000 staked and ANJ activated tokens. Each case will be assigned to three jurors who will be selected randomly with the chance of selection increasing the size of an ANJ holding. The Jurors will rule on the dispute and will earn token rewards for doing it.
The jurors will make the rulings independently thus revealing their decision to the other jurors and to everyone that is involved in the case. When a juror votes against the two other, it will lose his or her staked tokens which will be redistributed to the two winning jurors. This will ensure the incentives of the jurors are all aligned with the correct resolution thus the chances of being swayed will be lowered down.
Once the Aragon court launches, there will no longer be a conversion rate that is fixed for the ANT to ANJ and it will become a rate that will dynamically change depending on the amount of ANJ tokens that are activated. If the number of activated tokens drops too low, the conversion rate will fall as well. The ANT price increased before the opening of the deposits and the tokens are now trading at $0.47.
