If you are an avid follower of the crypto world, you probably know that the Ethereum Network is one of the most widespread blockchain networks with thousands of decentralized apps (DApps) and tokens.
A proof for that is a new report by Finance Magnates which found that more than 700 tokens and more than 1,090 decentralized applications have been deployed on the ETH network only in 2017.
The research comes from Christian Crowley who is a business analyst of Ethereum. As he says, there are more than 100,000 new users joining the Ethereum ecosystem every day – and the Ethereum network processes one million transactions daily, as Crowley spoke on the ConsenSys Community Day in Israel.
According to Crowley, there are more than 29.2 million unique ETH addresses at the moment. The truth is, blockchain technology is being adopted worldwide. The most recent and eminent deployments made by the world’s largest diamond jewelry retailer De Beers Group and the US transport giant Norfolk Southern Corp (NSC).
Still, the benefits of blockchain applications are constantly questioned by authorities.

Recently, the Russian Central Bank’s Deputy Governor questioned them, claiming that the “technology for the sake of technology is pointless” and arguing that the blockchain “is not yet a mature technology”.
At the end of the day, the fact that there are thousands of DApps and tokens on Ethereum’s network is definitely something we all need to hear, especially after the recent fall in the price of Ether (ETH).
