SHIB’s metaverse will feature up to 100K Land plots and the developers decided to use the Ethereum native crypto as a land pricing token as we are reading more about in our latest altcoin news.
The developers behind the popular meme crypto Shiba Inu revealed some new details of their virtual reality project – the Metaverse. SHIB’s metaverse will feature up to 100K land plots and some of them will remain private. The land plots will be released in phases and the introductory stage will uncloak 36,431 plots that will be divided into four categories: Gold Tail, Silver Fur, Platinum Paw, and Diamond Teeth priced between 0.2 ETH to 1 ETH.
The team decided to use neutral crypto as a land pricing token and make sure there’s no downside risk to Shiba Inu native coins. The developers said:
“Using our ecosystem tokens is a risk, as we would need to dump our own tokens price cashing them! And that’s far away from our plans.”
The buyers will be able to generate passive income and gather some in-game resources, generating rewards which the team said will reveal soon. The landowners can rename their plots while using the SHIB Token and burn them:
“We will be introducing the first special role that shiba inu $SHIB will play in the metaverse. By welcoming a mechanic to burn $SHIB independently while renaming your land plot, furthermore, this should start soon after land events and public sale have ended.”
The rest of the SHIB ecosystem coins like BONE and LEASH will play a huge role as more phases are rolled out adding that LEASH holders will be able to purchase lands in the later stages. The metaverse will be developed in Shibarium which is layer-2 or a companion system for the altcoin. The SHIB token was flat nearing 0.00002274 and the developers hinted at a foray into the metaverse in early February.
As recently reported, The popular meme coin Shiba Inu was added to the Bitcoin of America ATM network which has over 1800 machines spread across the country. According to an official release, the reason for the move is the ATM network. It is also worth noting that back in March, the company added support for another meme coin DOGE and the price of the coin surged about 12% in one day.
