ConsenSys Acquired Truffle Suite-The Blockchain Toolkit Developer

Consensys acquired the innovative blockchain toolkit Developer- Truffle Suite along with its team as we read more in today’s blockchain news.

The blockchain software giant ConsenSys acquired the DLT development project and blockchain toolkit developer Truffle Suite for an undisclosed amount. The Truffle Suite addition is aimed at enabling the company in providing a comprehensive set of blockchain development tools for the customers. The New York-based blockchain company announced the purchase in a press release but there were no details on the deal and the specifics with the statement reading that Consensys acquired the team along with the Truffle technology.

Launched back in 2015, Truffle enabled users to access the built-in smart contract compilation, deployment, binary management, and linking with the announcement outlining that Truffle Suite has about 9 million downloads with a “vibrant developer community.” The project is often described as the “ecosystem favorite for experienced developers that are looking to expedite the smart contract and front end dapp development process.

” By integrating Truffle with the Filecoin protocol as well as the Consensys Quorum protocol, Truffle will receive global enterprise adoption of the blockchain.

Truffle as a few other tools up its sleeve to facilitate the work of 1.3 million developers across the world by utilizing the services. These include the Truffle Suite which makes the Solidity development “elegant, productive and safe” and Truffle Boxes like contracts, libraries, modules, and the team which will enable other engineering teams of all sizes to work together in testing environments. According to the announcement, with Truffle’s addition, the development portfolio will allow enterprise customers to benefit from even more services. The Truffle team will continue to operate on the project with “the support of the Industry-leading business development engineering and marketing team at ConsenSys. The founder of Consensys Joseph Lubin said:

On the other hand, Tim Coulter, Truffle’s Founder, described this acquisition as a “natural fit.” He promised that the project will go on with delivering solutions that will enable developers to build and deploy blockchain systems by using Ethereum and other blockchains as well.
