Ferrari Entered The NFT Race, Partners With Swiss Blockchain Developer

Ferrari entered the NFT race by partnering with the Swiss blockchain developer Vellas as we can see more in our latest blockchain news today.

Scuderia Ferrari signed a partnership with the Swiss technology company Velas Network AG to launch a non-fungible token for its fans. This is the first interaction with the digital asset industry with some rivals in Formula 1 already marking the initial steps. In the official statemetn, the famous sports car maker revealed that he loves to have Velas Network AG as an associate so Ferrari and the NFT related company will provide the fans with the chance to own digital collectibles from March 202 which is the next season start. As a part of the deal, Velas became the Title sponsor of the Ferrari Esports Series as the online mono-brand series of the Prancing Horse and the Esports team will further compete in the F1 championship.

The General Manager and Team Principal of Scuderia Ferrari Mattia Binotto said that the Swiss Tech firm is an entity that will bring innovation and performance at the top of technologically advanced products and services. In turn, Farhad Shaguyamov as the CEO and co-founder of Velas Network AG stated that his company built a next-generation blockchain that will emphasize performance and sustainability.

Partnering with Ferrari came as a natural move the executive concluded. The Scuderia Ferrari racing division is the most successful team in Formula 1 and it is known among fans as the Prancing Hore that won 16 Formula 1 constructor’s championships and 15 driver’s championships.

The premier formula of motorsport already dipped its toes in the crypto universe and the popular digital asset exchange Crypto.com became the leading partner of Formula 1’s new Spirit series of 2021. Ferrari entered the NFT race and as a part of the deal, the crypto platform had its logo displayed the tracks at every race for the remainder of the season and Crypto.com also became the official crypto sponsor and NFT partner of the sports car championship.  Ferrari’s rival McLaren Racing announced the launch of the NFT platform where the fans and digital art collectors can buy digital collectibles and will be featured on the Tezos blockchain.

To celebrate the launch of the McLaren Racing Collectibles platform, the team decided to gift the first part of the MCL35M race car to the first 5000 fans that are going to join the initiative.
