TomoChain Partners With Ministry Of Education And Training Of Vietnam

TomoChain partners with the Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam as we are reading more in our latest blockchain news.

The TomoChain blockchain will be used to get diplomas and qualifications from the Vietnam Ministry of Education and Training. The public blockchain project signed an agreement with the Vietnam Ministry of Education and Training to provide DLT services so now all certifications from the students in High School will be uploaded on the Tomochain network. The Singapore-based company that is powered by a proof of stake voting consensus announced the new partnership earlier today. Now, the Vietnamese ministry known as MOET, will employ the TomoChain blockchain for the upcoming student year.

After the trial period, all types of certifications and diplomas that are granted by MOET, will be entered into the National Qualification Archives system and they will also be digitalized on the Tomochain blockchain. The statement from the ministry says that there are about 1.5 million of these diplomas that are issued in Vietnam every year. The innovative process will mark a huge change in the educational system in Vietnam since the training institutions are responsible for self-issuing and management of all qualifications. This makes the verification process quite long and prone to human error. The Deputy Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Van Phuc said:

 “Diploma and certificate management is an issue that needs to be resolved by technology, which is significant for the whole of society and also cost-efficient for the diploma management system in particular, and education in general.”

The statement outlined that this is a huge step ahead for TomoChain and its technology since its adoption was made possible after the project acquired Lition in 2019. Lition is a German-based company which provides private and public blockchain services, enabling the TomoChain to expand the division for DLT Solutions for Government and Enterprises. The founder of TomoChain asserted that the company was trying to find new ways to achieve the transition of qualifications from the current format to blockchain in one year. He added that the new partnership with Vietnam’s MOET will eliminate the counterfeit diplomas while still facilitating the issuance of the diplomas:
