Sun celebrated the second anniversary of the TRON mainnet and also said that the platform reached 5.9 million accounts. Sun revealed new TRON 4.0 exciting details with a new addition to the platform. In a style that is already familiar to the members of the crypto community, Sun decided not to give any further information about the project or the launch date. The CEO made the announcement saying that he will provide more details on June 8 and invited the community to guess what the project could be.

Most of the community responded with making jokes or making negative comments towards Sun, and some users speculated about the possibility of another TRON upgrade coming in the upcoming weeks. The new TRON 4.0 upgrade, it gained a lot of attention over the past week after Sun ran a poll. Designed to measure the popularity of the project against Ethereum 2.0, the poll was reportedly artificially inflated with the votes purchased by Sun just to win. There are no technical details, however, about the possible update announcement and voter’s inflation.
In the meantime, Sun celebrated the launch of the TRON mainnet two years ago on May 31, 2018, and the massive growth since then. According to Sun, the network reached 6 million accounts, 750 apps, and 20 million in block height. Finally, Sun shared details on the Multi-Party Computation project which was launched at the start of this year which allows random beacons to be generated on Tron. As stated by the foundation, the update will be one of the most important updates for the development of the Tron 4.0.

It remains to be seen what kind of project will Sun announce on June 8. The last time the TRON CEO made a statement similar to this wan, it was when he decided to purchase Steemit. After the purchase, there were rising tensions between some of the Steem users and Justin Sun. As a result, the community disagreed with the decisions on Steem and launched a hard fork to create their own platform, now known as Hive.
