As the charts show, the US branch saw 1,200,000 users which are coming on board this year. This comes after the company reproted a 500% volume increase in the third quarter. Aside from the total growth of crypto space in terms of prices and new users, it is worth outlining some of the FTX notable partnerships completed in 2021. it started with a multi-million dollar deal with the Miami Heat in order to rebrand the home court to the FTX Arena. The exchange bought an ad to be featured during the Super bowl collaborated with the F1 championship team Mercedes as well as the Major League Baseball.
The company saw a lot of reputable individuals that are joining in as ambassadors or purchasing a stake which included basketball megastar Steph Curry, Kevin O’Leary, and Tom Brady. The exchange joined the NFT craze by launching a marketplace for US-based customers.
As recently reported, FTX US makes a new deal with NBA’s Wizards and NHL’s Capitals of Washington while the exchange and other exchanges are navigating an uncertain US crypto regulatory landscape which is not a coincidence. The deals were penned with Monumental Sports and Entertainment that owns the Wizards, Washington Mystics, and Capitals. What’s more, FTX US is now the official crypto exchange of Monumental Sports Entertainment and its client as well as an NFT partner. The crypto exchange locked down some agreements with two other NBA franchises in 2021 and back in May, it agreed to a 19-year deal with the Miami Heat that included naming rights to the team’s arena with the arena overtaking the former American Airlines Arena. Similar to the Wizards deal, the Miami deal saw FTX become the official crypto exchange partner of the Miami Heat.
