Microsoft filed new patent to mine crypto according to the new documents from the World Intellectual Property Organization. The company is working to develop a new system that will use the energy of the human body and will use it to mine crypto. The patent is called “Cryptocurrency System Using Body Activity Data” explained that the human body generates energy which is lost with the physical body functions and the goal here is to use the energy for productive use:

 “Instead of massive computation work required by some conventional cryptocurrency systems, data generated based on the body activity of the user can be proof-of-work, and therefore, a user can solve the computationally difficult problem unconsciously.”

The mining process involves the users hooking up a number of the sensor on your body to generate a reward when performing an activity. For example, the patnet explained that the sensors can determine whether a person is performing a specific task like using internet service or watching an ad. When the stimulus is registered, the mining process could be activated and will reward the individual with tokens. The report said that the “Body fluid flow” and organ activity can become one of the main examples of bodily functions that will trigger the sensors and start the mining process.

The process looks simple on paper as one of the graphs explains that the external entity generates the conditions for a task as reading an article in the entirety and the person executes the task which triggers the sensors that produce a response recorded in a hash. If the hash satisfies the series of conditions that are determined in the system, you will get crypto as a reward. Otherwise, if the user doesn’t read an article entirely or jumps to another piece, the block will be discarded and the process restarted.
