The blockchain technology and also the distributed ledger technology for the first time ever, made working and lives, in general, easier and more profitable. This technology found its way into some of the greatest companies in the world. Enormous companies, popular ones as well, are now getting into blockchain such as Apple, Microsoft, IBM, and Bank of China.
Bank of China has total assets of $4.2 trillion. They previously denied the claims that they work with a blockchain powered stock exchange but earlier this year we saw that the rumors were actually true. ICBC gave an idea for how to use blockchain technology for verifying digital certificates instead of using a central authority. There was, however, not much detail revealed about this idea. ICBC was not the only bank that showed interest in this technology. China Construction Bank Corporation that has assets of $3.36 trillion also showed great interest in the blockchain. They revealed that they use the IBM blockchain platform to improve the work of insurance companies and increase the sales of their products.
Another example is probably the popular JPMorgan. This is the largest company in the financial world with assets bigger than $2.0 trillion. This company proved to be one of the most interested and committed to use and rely on blockchain technology.
Berkshire Hathaway that has about $700 billion in assets also is a huge company implementing blockchain technology. The famous Warren Buffet is the founder and CEO of this company which is, by the way, a great cryptocurrency skeptic. But this didn’t stop his companies from using and exploring this underlying technology.
We would finish with the most popular tech giant Apple that has stunning $367 billion in assets. They have also been very quiet about blockchain projects but they filed a patent for using blockchain for data timestamping.
