The national awareness for blockchain in China is increasing as we speak – and a lot of that has to do with the state media that is pushing the news through the society and informing everyone about the true benefits of the revolutionary technology linked to cryptocurrencies.
In the latest news, China’s state media (again) praised blockchain technology and its benefits. The news is placed in The People’s Daily – which is undoubtedly China’s largest newspaper and an outlet of the Communist party. Today, the outlet published a feature article on the blockchain technology which was positive and described blockchain and its potential benefits in full detail.
More than three million international readers are now informed about the distributed and decentralized ledgers and the structure of the blockchain technology. On top of that, they are aware of how blockchain could be life-changing too.
In the article, the benefits of blockchain technology in public use include “financial difficulties, public welfare, supervision, counterfeiting and many other areas of pain and difficulty”. Moreover, Blockchain is described as the next Internet with a massive potential and a great infrastructure that needs to be properly regulated.
A good thing in this publication is that there was a distinction made between blockchain and cryptocurrencies. In it, blockchain was described as “the underlying technology and infrastructure of Bitcoin” with many other implementations of the technology.
The main point of this article was obviously to spread the awareness about the emerging technologies – and prove everyone how important the technology actually is. Also, to spread awareness of the risks of ICO’s crackdowns, talk about cryptocurrencies and ‘set the right mood’ for China’s plans to create its national cryptocurrency.
