The Dapper Labs Flow network set a record after the UFC and NFL platform launches and the co-founder Mik Nayeem said that these platforms are bringing in new users so let’s read more in today’s latest blockchain news.
The flow blockchain ecosystem has set a record for daily transactions and new wallet signups. Dapper Labs launched the UFC Strike NFL platform to the public at the start of the year while the NFL All Day platform is in closed beta. Dapper Labs had quite the busy start of the year and its UFC Strike NFL platform launched in January while the NFL All Day Marketplace is nearing its public launch. On the other hand, NBA Top Shot is trending up again. The Dapper Labs Flow Network ecosystem is growing especially as IP Holders gravitate towards the platform.

UFC Strike has been long in the works as an NFT marketplace of the Ultimate Fighting Championship which debuted on January 23rd with an initial drop that saw 100,000 packs of NFTs that sell for $50 apiece in a matter of a few hours. Much like the NBA top Shot, the UFC collectibles are based on the video highlights and they can be purchased and sold on the secondary market.
The co-founder and chief business officer of Dapper Labs Mik Nayeem said this week that the launch brought a chunk of new users into the Dapper ecosystem and he estimated that about 60,000 new users took part in the drop whcih represents the largest burst of new Flow wallet signups since the NBA Top Shot initial explosion in 2021. Nayeem noted:
“It’s really reinforcing this idea that Dapper can create products that bring new audiences into the NFT space, and then they can go down the rabbit hole. We’re really excited about that.”

NFL All Day launched in enclosed beta in December and also saw a huge spike of new users that transact on the platform. Nayeem noted that the metrics are surpassed and pointed to more than $5 million worth of revenue so far in testing but no date has been annoucned for a public rollout just yet. Even the NBA Top Shot as the platform that made Dapper Labs known in the sports world and pushed the NFT into the mainstream, is growing in popularity. Top Shot had a flurry of activity last striping but trading volume and Buzz declined the rest of the year but then didn’t see a noticeable uptick from the NFT market surge last year.
