OKCoin, the popular cryptocurrency exchange has recently announced they will be launching a new voting incentive program which will end up donating more than 1,000 Bitcoins to various projects and developers as we are reading in the coming altcoin news.
With the start of this initiative, the interest parties can vote for the multiple projects that contribute to the further development of Bitcoin (BTC), Bitcoin Satoshi Vision (BSV) and Bitcoin Cash (BCH). According to the reports, the crypto enthusiasts that will come to the OKCoin platform and vote for a project will be able to choose one and donate their bitcoins. OKCoin will send 0.02 BTC for every vote to the selected project on behalf of the voters so the raised amount later will be equally distributed among the developers who created the projects and also the organizations after the verification process.
For the advancement and associated cryptocurrency projects, each donation will be sent to the Bitcoin core developers. The mission of the campaign is to make the digital assets available to the world while the ecosystem is still growing. ‘’Let’s Build Bitcoin Together’’ will help to bring all of the well-known players in the industry and community to highlight the different approaches and positions that are taken to gain support towards the people who focused on building and moving the projects further:
“As one of the first exchanges, we have been invested in the development of the ecosystem,” said Tim Byun, OKCoin CEO. “There is no question that the past few years have been a roller coaster for the whole community, so we’ve decided to step up and give back to the developers who keep moving us forward. The ‘Let’s Build Bitcoin Together!’ initiative, which we believe is the first exchange-led community investment of this scale, is our way of showing our commitment and dedication to the Bitcoin community.” Developers are, and will continue to be, key to improving the accessibility of digital assets, which is the heart of the OKCoin mission. That being said, we hope to give the full 1,000 BTC away, but we need people to get out there and vote!”
As per the latest cryptocurrency news, the mission of OKCoin is to boost the developers and to make them be more critical in order to improve the accessibility of the digital assets and they encouraged people to vote in order to give the full 1,000 BTC.
