Atari Seeks To Launch An ICO Cryptocurrency For A Crypto Casino

One of the most popular video game manufacturers out there, Atari Group, recently announced that it is planning to launch a crypto casino to its list of existing products in 2020. Atari seeks to launch the crypto casino as an ICO cryptocurrency project which is now viral in the Bitcoin and altcoin news.

As many traders know, Atari Group is a successful company which is also a NYSE listed company which started back in 1972. Currently, it is owned by the French company Atari SA and has a market capitalization of less than $50 million. Atari seeks to launch a new crypto project after eyeing the crypto markets for some time (since 2018) but without any chance to capitalize on its opportunities to date.

In 2018, Atari Group signed a partnership with the Infinity Networks Ltd. to develop a blockchain project which would include a cryptocurrency named Atari Token. This would constitute a decentralized platform which will feature different types of digital entertainment from films to music and video games as well. However, the project did not see the light of day.

Now, Atari seeks to work on the same project with ICICB Group as its partner. It is planning to host an ICO cryptocurrency project for its token sales as well this month, while its private sales will go on until September 2020. As soon as they finish, a public sale will be announced as well – and Atari will keep 35% of the proceeds from the token sale and ensure liquidity for the digital asset by listing it on the popular crypto trading platforms.

As the company also noted, Atari Token will be used in the online crypto casino developed by the company, which will be launch as soon as the public sales begin. ICICB has a non-exclusive license to run the casino and will feature many popular titles like Asteroids, Missile Command, Centipede, Rollercoaster Tycoon and others.

However, Atari Token is not the only cryptocurrency that the groupation is planning. There is also a project called Pong Token that is in the plans, which would be used within the local applications in Kenya where the company holds an operator license.
