Bitcoin of America ATM now added support for Shiba Inu’s SHIB token and is the latest crypto to become a part of the network so let’s read more in our altcoin news today.
The popular meme coin Shiba Inu was added to the Bitcoin of America ATM network which has over 1800 machines spread across the country. According to an official release, the reason for the move is the ATM network:
“…recognized the growing popularity of Shiba Inu and decided it was time to include it in their BTMs. Bitcoin of America also offers Bitcoin, Litecoin, and Ethereum.”
It is also worth noting that back in March, the company added support for another meme coin DOGE and the price of the coin surged about 12% in one day. At the time of writing, SHIB is trading for the past 24 hours, and Bitcoin of America is quite popular so it is important to note that it is registered as a money service with the US Department of Treasury.
The Shiba Inu Team unveiled the metaverse but the DOGE creator slammed the project. The Shiba Inu metaverse will use Ethereum for the land pricing but the DOGE creator said selling fake land with ETH will not enhance the utility of the memecoin. Shiba Inu’s new metaverse program will be able to compete with established players like Decentaland. The team behind Shiba Inu unveiled the much-talked virtual reality project but instead of SHIB, the developers picked ETH as the land pricing token.
The metaverse will have 100,595 plots of land and the public land will be up for buying while the private ones whcih represent key locations in the metaverse will be locked away. The plots will be released in phases and the introductory stage will include unlocking 36,431 plots of land and categorized into four categories, Gold Tail, Silver Fur, Platinum Paw, and Diamond Teeth which are valued in the range of 0.2 ETH to 1 ETH.
One of the most hyped drops that took place last year was Shiboshis, a Shiba Inu NFT which dropped over 70% since its all-time high and this was the official NFT for the SHBI Team as one of the most popular memecoins. The reports showed that in early 2021, the Shiboshis is a collection of 10,000 non-fungible tokens and depicted lovable creatures. The sale happened in November 2021 and each NFT was minted at a different price from 0.1 ETH to 0.3 ETH.
