Overnight Surge Brings Total Crypto Market Cap To $280 Billion

An overnight surge was reported by many best cryptocurrency news sites for bringing the total cryptocurrency market cap to a new high of $280 billion. In it, Bitcoin sits close to the $9,000 mark and is trading with a 2% increase on the day.

After it tested around $8,450 yesterday, Bitcoin rose above $8,700 once again to hold the sentiments of the bulls. The price of Bitcoin (BTC) was dominant in the overnight surge as it went near $8,800.

Right now, the total market capitalization of Bitcoin is above $154 billion and its dominance sits at 55.2%, which is a solid indicator for the altcoins and their share in the market.

In the coming altcoin news, we are also seeing big increases. Ethereum has went above the $280 mark, recording gains of around 7%. The momentum of the coin was towards the green and the daily scale rise is still impressive.

The overnight surge pushed Ripple to go above the $0.463 mark with similar gains to ETH. The price tested the Year-To-Date high below $0.47 and as analysts report, it has gained about 50% since the beginning of the month.

Bitcoin Cash (BCH) was also part of the overnight surge, recording a parabolic run to $473 with 10% added on the day. Next is EOS, which as the fifth largest cryptocurrency in the altcoin news, is trading at $8.10 and recording only 3% gains on the day.

What is fascinating for many – and the biggest overnight surge in the latest cryptocurrency news – is the one of Bitcoin SV (BSV). The cryptocurrency managed to add 108% overnight which is one of the biggest increases that we have seen. The top gainer in the market rose from $121 to $240 in a matter of hours. As analysts show, the rise has been attributed to a Chinese factor which is not confirmed yet.

All of these are signs of a major crypto recovery following the mild correction recently. The overnight surge brought a lot of attention on the altcoins – especially Bitcoin SV (BSV) which parabolic jump is still a mystery.
