One popular altcoin got its own emoji on the Twitter social media network recently. We are talking about the cryptocurrency payments platform Crypto.com which received its own Twitter emoji – contrary to the beliefs of many that this will happen with ETH and the Ether cryptocurrency.
The emoji automatically appears whenever someone types the hashtag #CRO on Twitter. The company’s native cryptocurrency and popular altcoin has become the second coin to receive this kind of a designated emoji on Twitter right after Bitcoin got it last year.
Many analysts and experts think that this will give the popular altcoin even greater recognition. The second automatic emoji appearing behind a hashtag of the CRO crypto ticker is already viral in the latest cryptocurrencies news. You can watch the video below and see how the emoji is generated:

As the company announced, the crypto payments platform now has its own emoji. Also, the company is set to celebrate its 4th birthday later this month and has seen both its user base and the value of the native CRO token skyrocketing in 2020.

This is largely due to the fact that they introduced plenty of new features and pushed new deals almost every month.
While adding a small and colorful graphic is not that big in the altcoin news, it is definitely something that no other altcoin has besides Crypto.com (CRO) right now. Hence, it is considered to be a major step for coins and companies in the crypto industry.
Many believe that with emojis comes plenty of recognition, both from the platform enabling the emoji and the other users who might take interest in the coin or service. The debate around Bitcoin getting its own emoji was a long and tiring one before – spanning across several major social media platforms for years.
Meanwhile, the CEO of Twitter Jack Dorsey is a major Bitcoin (BTC) supporter and was one of the first to break the ice with the addition of the yellow Bitcoin emoji last year. The popular altcoin Crypto.com (CRO) is getting the same recognition now.
For those of you who don’t know or follow our cryptonews, Crypto.com Coin (CRO) ranks at the 12th position with a price of $0.1087 and a 4% decline on the day. However, it is one of the altcoins that performed great this year before the steep fall earlier this week.
