A new crypto rap battle video is viral in the latest cryptocurrency news, showing the face-off of the Bitcoin (BTC) creator Satoshi Nakamoto and Alexander Hamilton, one of the founding fathers of the United States. Published by Reid Hoffman who is the co-founder of LinkedIn, the video features an epic crypto rap battle.
Released on September 5, the video shows Alexander Hamilton who is the father of the US financial system and central bank – fighting against the mysterious creator of Bitcoin with an alias Satoshi Nakamoto – for the merits of centralized currencies.
Hoffman said that the creation of this crypto rap battle was inspired by watching the musical “Hamilton” and that he was struck by the two “Cabinet Battle” songs. As he elaborated:
“I was particularly struck by his two “Cabinet Battle” songs, and the way he used battle rap to express the opposing viewpoints that informed the issues and debates underlying fundamental moments in America’s development. Since then, I’ve been intrigued by the idea of using battle rap to explore some of the most polarizing issues that characterize our own era.”
The style of this debate will be familiar to many YouTube fans, especially the ones who have been following the channel named Epic Rap Battles of History (ERB), where two main characters go back and forth and rhyme key points in an attempt to take down their opponent.
“Since I believe that informed, civil, and open-minded debate ultimately leads to more innovation and adaptation, I hope the debates continue,” the co-founder continued when describing the crypto rap battle, for which he was featured on many best cryptocurrency news sites.
The video is 6 minutes long and includes dozens of cameos from the industry pioneers including Charlie Lee, the creator of Litecoin (LTC) as well as Zooko Wilcox-O’Hearn, co-founder of Zcash (ZEC) along with Reid Hoffman himself and many others.
After the crypto rap battle video went viral and was featured on many best altcoin news sites, Hoffmann took to Twitter and asked his followers who won the debate in a poll. The winner, as the respondents voted, was Satoshi Nakamoto who won 72% of the 6050 casted votes.
