The new Samsung Galaxy S10 is everywhere in the digital currency news – mostly because it is the first phone with Bitcoin and Ethereum support. Recently, Samsung has decided to announce the official partners, BTC and ETH and spoke about the phone’s new features at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain.
On February 25th, one spokesperson from Samsung revealed various cryptocurrency and blockchain-related projects featured on the smartphone such as support for Bitcoin, Ethereum, COSMEE token (COSM) and Enjin’s token (ENJ).
While COSMEE is a blockchain-enabled mobile beauty decentralized app (dApp), Enjin (ENJ) is a cryptocurrency wallet that will apparently be part of Galaxy S10’s pre-installed programs.
COSMEE claims to have been selected by Samsung as the first partner dApp that is supported by the upcoming smartphone while Enji can be used to send and receive ERC-20 tokens and ERC-1155 crypto game assets.
There are still many reports and rumors regarding the blockchain and crypto integration in Samsung’s new flagship phone. What is certain is that crypto and blockchain will definitely be part of the Galaxy S10 – but we have to wait and see to which extent and how Samsung is planning to use them.
