Latest SpaceX Launch Visible In Ethereum VR World

The latest SpaceX launch was available to Decentraland users who watched how the company owned by Elon Musk sent two humans up to the space station on May 30. The astronauts were watched from the virtual reality world’s auditorium and as the Ethereum news show, the launch was visible through the Ethereum-based VR world.

For those of you who don’t know, this was the first launch of a space vehicle that is built in and launched from the United States in almost a decade. The latest SpaceX launch, as such, marks a huge step forward for the space industry and was viewable on NASA’s YouTube channel.

Users of the Ethereum-based virtual reality world Decentraland got front row seats and thanks to this unique technology, were able to truly grasp in and get all the details from the latest SpaceX launch. As Decentraland said in a tweet, the launch was available live in its VR world.

Virtual reality fans and enthusiasts were able to watch the event in the environment’s virtual auditorium as Elon Musk sent two humans into orbit in the first private and manned spacecraft launch in history.

What is notable to say besides the crypto news and users of Ethereum’s VR platform Decentraland is that this is not the first time inhabitants of the VR world were able to access major events like this one.

As of February 2020, this community counts over 12,000 people who have been part of major events. In March this year, Decentraland virtually hosted the annual Coinfest Conference, and there are many potential events to take place on the virtual reality platform.

While Decentraland is relatively new (it launched in February), it gave users a chance to watch the latest SpaceX launch in real-time. The platform’s success can be measured from the $1 million that it raised during its initial coin offering (ICO) in 2017, allowing users to buy virtual parcels of land with the platform’s currency, MANA. This token was also ranked second on some of the popular lists of the five most expensive non-fungible tokens of 2019.

Meanwhile, the price of Ether (ETH) is at $237 today as it keeps on going higher and higher. Experts believe that once the $238 and $240 levels are passed, we could expect a rise to $300.
