CoinGate Enabled XRP Payment Option For More Than 4500 Online Stores

The popular crypto payment gateway-CoinGate has made an announcement that reached our altcoin news today that they enabled native XRP payment option for more than 4500 online stores.

After the apparent high demand in their community, CoinGate decided to make XRP their new method of payment right next to Ethereum, Litecoin and of course, Bitcoin.

There are many shops that use CoinGate as their payment gateway so it’s perfect timing for XRP since it can be used to purchase a VPN for example or a video game and many other products and services. It also means that the merchants will accept XRP and are later able to convert it into other cryptocurrencies or in fiat.

Coingate explained in a blog post:

As a result, XRP coin owners can now use it as a means of payment at more than 4,500 shops online! Whether you want to purchase a VPN, video game or anything else, you are more than welcome to do that!”

All of the users of Coingate can now buy XRP and use mobile balance, SEPA bank transfer and QQPay all through the Coingate’s website. The company also pointed out that integrating XRP was different than integrating any other coin since Ripple does not use blockchain and also the company hopes to accelerate the decentralization of the XRP network.

This is a solid chance for XRP to place itself higher on the scale and it can also be a good booster for wider adoption.
