The marketplace will focus on sports and entertainment as Sam Bankman Fried announced. The FTX crypto exchange launches sports NFT platform and it said:
“We’re beyond excited to team up with Dolphin Entertainment to create an NFT marketplace for major sports and entertainment brands.”
The marketplace will include NFTs linked to TV, music, gaming, film, esports, and more as Brett Harrison who Is the president of FTX/USD said:
“Dolphin’s reach and scale across all of pop culture is very impressive to us. I am excited to build marketplaces with Dolphin.”
Dolphin Entertainment CEO Bill O’Dowd is also bullish on the company’s partnership and said:
“Our joint offerings are distinct from the rest of the market and, most importantly, immediately put NFTs on a level playing field with all other consumer products available for purchase online.”
NFTs and sports already established a new connection across other of the world’s biggest sports. The NBA led the way with NBA top Shot which is a collectible craze for NFT and crypto supporters. Storied NBA Franchise the Golden State Warriors also released an NFT collection in April this year. Major stars in the NFL followed suit with Tom Brady, Rob Gronkowski, and the Manning brothers all launching NFTs. In the MLB, Red Sox legend Ted Williams has his own NFT, and UFC champion Francis Ngannou made money with NFT sales even more than he did from his title bout against UFC heavyweight Stipe Miocic.
As recently reported, The popular multi-purpose crypto app Blockfolio has officially rebranded to FTX but the change will have no impact on the customer user experience. The crypto derivatives exchange FTX acquired Blockfolio in a deal worth $150 million and these two companies are taking their partnership a step ahead as the application rebranded. According to an official press release, the movie came in an effort to serve retail traders a better option and to cement the FTX mobile as amongst the easiest and safest platforms to use. The Hong Kong-based cryptocurrency derivatives exchange FTX announced the acquisition of the crypto portfolio tracker Blockfolio for $150 million. FTX plans to collaborate with Blockfolio on a retail trading application that is supposed to be launched this fall.
