As you all know, the creator behind Bitcoin is named Satoshi Nakamoto. The fun part is that no one in the world knows who this person or group of people is. Many have tried to solve the puzzle but they all failed. There are, however, many theories that try to give an answer to this burning question. Here are some of them.

Hidden Identity
There is one popular theory that the creator or should we better say creators behind Bitcoin are actually a corporation. According to this theory, the name Satoshi comes from the first two letters in SAmsung and TOSHIba. The last name is a combination of other famous companies such as NAKAmichi and MOTOrola. Others tie a connection to the CIA. How might you ask? In Japanese Nakamoto means ‘’central origin’’ and Satoshi means ‘’intelligent’’.

New Yorker Article
The New Yorker published an article about the real identity of Satoshi. In the article, you can find that they believe Satoshi used accurate and flawless English language. Their investigation led them to a guy named Michael Clear. Michael was a cryptography student that worked on a cryptocurrency service in Ireland. Of course, he denied the allegations. Inspired by the work of The New Yorker, Fast Company also tried to prove who Satoshi really is. Their investigation led to three people that had a patent similar to the Bitcoin’s whitepaper. Around 4 days before Bitcoin.org was registered, the three guys filed an application for the patent. Turns out it isn’t them as well.

Is Satoshi Even a ‘’He’’?
This is probably one of the most interesting theories about the identity of Satoshi. Many believe that there is a great chance for Satoshi to be a woman. Also, people believe that it is highly likely that there is a group of people behind it just because they think it was easier to create it that way.
