Legendary Hong Kong martial artist Bruce Lee passed suddenly 49 years ago this year. However, the Bruce Lee Club has made the decision to collaborate with a digital company, the PRIZM Group, in an effort to use VR technology to recreate Lee’s former house.

A display named “Revival of Bruce Lee’s Memory: Bruce Lee’s Home in Metaverse” is another item they wish to include. The goal is to use blockchain and Web 3 technologies to remember the memories. Additionally, it would preserve and pass on the artist’s heritage to the next generations.

Bruce Lee’s Old Home Will Feature In The Metaverse

The original site, where Bruce Lee’s former house was located, was demolished in 2019. PRIZM Group and Bruce Lee Club are working with three young students from the Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education (Shatin), Yuen Ho Wa Andy, Lee Chun Kit Owen, and Li Chun Kit Jacky, to reconstruct the old house in the Metaverse.

Fans from all around the world may “see” the kung fu celebrity’s former home using VR technology and engage in an interactive experience. The “Crane’s Nest” virtual environment will ultimately allow fans to participate in all other events and activities.

In addition, the Group requested excellent content for the project from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University School of Design. Shannon Ma, a well-known graphic artist, will be the project’s technical consultant.

The Project Will Be Unveiled on July 20^th 2023

The finished product will reportedly be shown to the public on July 20, 2023, the anniversary of Bruce Lee’s demise. Bruce Lee Club head Wong Yiu-Keung stated the actor’s house was initially converted into a hotel after his passing.

It was initially intended to be a memorial hall. Sadly, the concept was abandoned and the home was demolished. The gang has made the decision to carry out its original goals, but this time in the virtual realm.

Yiu-Keung is certain that the most recent endeavor will help people learn more about Bruce Lee’s final voyage by utilizing VR, web3, and his “Water Philosophy.”

Additionally, this demonstrates that the use of Web3 and blockchain has spread to other industries. It may now be used to capture memories and experiences as digital representations.
