Cardano Creator Says Huge Egos Can Undermine The Crypto Community

The Cardano creator Charles Hoskinson, says that huge egos and conflicts within the crypto sector can pose a huge threat and undermine crypto communities. He suggested that the journalists are also trying to keep his project down, as we are reading further in the Cardano cryptocurrency news.

The IOHK CEO commented:

“Are we being too overzealous with Cardano?. Let’s be honest, as a community we’ve been really treated unfairly, we’ve been [urinated] on, [defecated] on, ‘scam, scam, scam, scam, no working product’ … everything that could be said, has been said. In particular, crypto media has got it wrong a lot.”

Over the past year, the creator of Cardano used YouTube a lot to communicate directly to the crypto communities and followers and the videos were only protocol updates or AMA sessions, but mostly he hit back to the community’s criticism. This week’s comments surrounded a video that emerged on social media last week where a marketing group is promoting the Cardano project in a rural part of China. Both the Cardano project and Hoskinson said they had no affiliation with the group. He also talked about an article that argued the upcoming launch of the staking protocol Shelley and how it will not suffice to give the crypto project the edge it needs to bear rival projects such as EOS and TRON.

Charles Hoskinson said that journalists, podcasters and other influential people in the community, have all taken a hard stance against Cardano and many of them won’t retract on their comments because they are concerned about losing their credibility:

“Well, similarly there is a bit of a Cardano derangement syndrome in the cryptocurrency space. People said our ideas will never work, we’ll never deliver, we’ll never actually ship anything, we’ve never actually accomplished anything. They just sometimes misrepresent reality completely.”

The tempo rises while Cardano has been going on strong for five years and critics still ignore everything the project has accomplished. Some even called it a scam or a fraud. Still, he went on to say that the digital asset industry has a huge problem with huge egos and a lack of respect toward other platforms and creators in the crypto sector. If this problem isn’t resolved soon, he warned that Amazon and google could swoop in and take over crypto for themselves. He finished by saying that Cardano will try harder to connect with other projects and built cross-chain operability with Litecoin.
