It appears that the network of Bitcoin backers is growing, the latest cryptocurrency news show. The Kiss frontman Gene Simmons is among the latest names to support the most dominant cryptocurrency. However, as he once told CNBC, he does not go near anything unless he has an “emotional connection with it.”
The legendary rock-and-roll frontman was among those in attendance at a recent crypto event for family offices (loosely translated – wealthy investors). Knowing that his net worth is around $300 million, the Kiss frontman Gene Simmons must have felt right at home, sitting in a group which included the Morgan Creek Digital co-founder Anthony Pompliano among the featured speakers.
According to Pompliano’s comments on Twitter which went viral and were reported on many best cryptocurrency news sites, Simmons said:
“Bitcoin is volatile, but every time people think it’s dead, it goes up a little.”

Even though this guy is famous for being a rocker, he is much more than that. The Kiss frontman Gene Simmons is also a bassist and an entrepreneur and a businessman.

In fact, his brand has “generated $3 billion worth of ancillary revenue” as CNBC reported.
In 2012, the frontman told Forbes that he is a capitalist but at the time had a problem with the state of “capitalism in America.” As he added:
“I believe in supply and demand. I don’t believe the government should stick there noses into the rise and fall of the economy.”
Before Bitcoin, the Kiss frontman said that he co-founded the tenets of decentralization, noting:
“Everywhere around the world we try to tell people there are no borders, no prime ministers, no presidents; there’s only one nation, Kiss Nation. There’s only one rock and roll national anthem – “Rock N Roll All Night, Party Every Day.”
Simmons is also behind his own soda line, MoneyBag Sodas and is the face of the Canadian medical marijuana company Invictus MD Strategies. The Kiss frontman is no stranger to Bitcoin – in fact in 2017 he spotted the currency’s uncorrelated nature and reportedly expressed an interest in it, saying that it is “a piece of the investment puzzle.”
Since then, Bitcoin has generated returns of more than 400%. During the last bull run, Simmons told TheStreet that he’d be interested in collaborating about a KISS Coin.
