Jack Dorsey seems to be constantly in our crypto news these days and today, in particular, we found out that the Twitter CEO joined a project that shows the functionality of the second-layer Bitcoin scaling protocol, the Lightning Network.
Dorsey has strong faith in Bitcoin and hopes to become the official currency of the Internet. He has joined the experiment named LN Trust Chain which is a chain of transactions on the lightning network that started circulating on January 19.
The ‘’Lightning Torch’’ is a wave of multiple transactions between the users of the network and each user will receive the transaction with added nominal amount of 10,000 satoshis and will later pass it to someone they trust. There are currently 3 million satoshis in the torch.
Dorsey who is also a founder of the payment app Square, was nominated as a participant by Matt Odell-a crypto entrepreneur and Bitcoin commentator. Dorsey received praise from the crypto community for being a part in the Trust Chain.
The LN Trust Chain started as an experiment in order to work as a method of spreading awareness of the Lightning Network. After debuting on the mainnet of Bitcoin over a year ago, the developers continue to focus on the technical aspects making sure that the LN will be up and running for the future influx of users.
LN has already passed a milestone capacity of $2 million just last month and has currently a capacity of 646 BTC.
Twitter CEO has also revealed that the only cryptocurrency he holds is exactly Bitcoin.
