Blockchain master’s degree program will now be possible at the Dublin City University in partnership with the tech company network ICT Skillnet. This will be the first master’s program in the country based on the blockchain and we read more about it in the latest cryptocurrency news.

The new educational diploma on the blockchain was announced by the Irish government’s Department of Business, Enterprise, and Innovation just two days ago. The new program is named ‘’The Master’s In Blockchain: Distributed Ledger Technologies’’ degree which is the highest spot for ICT Skillnet’s efforts to acknowledge the skills that the upcoming blockchain engineers need to learn with the help of the blockchain educational program Blockchain Ireland.

The course will be conducted online divided into two year-part time courses which will begin as almost all students’ years in September 2019. The course is meant to the IT professionals that work in the country with a Level 8 Honours Degree (2.2) in Computer Science, Computer applications or any other related discipline.

The current network manager for technology Ireland ICT Skillnet Dave Feenan stated:

 “This new Master’s will provide Ireland will a real opportunity to upskill our already excellent IT professionals, preparing them for jobs of the future. The synergy between industry and education means these professionals will have the practical tools needed to bring the benefits of Blockchain technology to a variety sectors.”

As noted in the local altcoin news, the inauguration of the new master’s program happened during the Blockchain Ireland week which is a government-based campaign to raise awareness and to support the blockchain industry in the country.
